STEVE
(drums) Steve
was at a very tender and impressionable age when he teamed up with Paul in
the late '60s and he soon opted to turn professional. Later, in a sudden fit
of insanity, he decided to quit the music business and attend university,
subsequently gaining his desired degree.... With
this task successfully accomplished, Steve felt free to return to thrashing
the kit for a living and accordingly ended up in a succession
of pro bands, one of which included bassist
Dave.... The mid '70s saw Steve expand his activities
to include song writing, session work and running a studio with Paul....
As the decade progressed, he played with punk and rock bands that attracted
the interest of various record companies, including DJM and Virgin.... The
'80s brought even more varied employment (including an enjoyable stint in
Dana's backing band!) plus appearances on TV and radio.... During the
'90s Steve returned to the mainstream rock market, before joining a three-piece
that would become one of the most popular and notorious attractions in the
West of England, thanks to an outrageous stage act in which he played a major
part... Steve renewed his playing partnership with Paul
early in 2000 and, along with Lars, put the wheels of STATUS CLONE into motion....
Steve has had two books published making STATUS CLONE quite literally a very
literary quartet!
